Would be interested in any information for Micheal Farley, b 20 Jun 1801, son of Daniel and Margaret Farley.  Micheal made it to Lowell, Mass., USA by 1847, at the latest.  Died in Dubuque, IA, USA, on 14 Sept. 1883.  Was almost certainly Roman Catholic.  Have much of his American information but looking for any additional information on parents, siblings, land, churches, etc.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Based on reviewing the 1834 Tithe records and the 1857 Griffiths Valuation data for Kiltoghert parish, it is likely the surname was Farrell in Ireland.

RC records for Kiltoghert start around 1824. There are two possible parishes: Bornacoola and Kiltoghert.

Do you know if Michael married in Ireland? There are a number of Michael Farrell marriages in Bornacoola in the 1830s.

You may want to add Michael's story to our XO Chronicles site https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…

Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?

I located this church death record Transcription for a Daniel Farrell in Bornacoola. The townland shown is likely Cloonmorris in Mohill parish which is right next to Kiltoghert.
