The Cobh Animation Team presents “Mná na hÉireann Afternoon Tea Party” in aid of the Ballyorgan 1916 Commemoration Stone, on Sunday 16th October at 3pm in Glenroe Parish Hall.
Experience the history of Mná na hÉireann through stories, poem, song and costume. Bringing the women and tastes of 1916 to life, while enjoying an afternoon of tea (served in granny’s best china) and a selection of cakes from the era of The Rising baked to the traditional recipes of 1916.
The stories are rich in real life experiences of what it was like for the average woman of 1916 and of those women who have carved their names in Irish history.
