family research

my grandfather florence o'donoghue was born in maiden street in newcastle west in 1882 and married my grandmother bridget riordan in 1912 in the catholic church boherbee      they lived in boherbee opposite the convent next to their cousins the healys.    i am trying to find the link from  the healys to the o'donoghues in my tree      i know the healys came thru the o shea side of the family

healys names were theresa,nancy,willie[tabs] and may who had a florist shop in boherbee    i think they are all buried in churchtown cemetery,newcastle west

also on the o'donoghue side my grandfathers brothers cornelius o'donoghue [maybe a teacher] and stephen o'donoghue lived in newcastle any info on them would be greatly appreciated

my father jack o'donoghue was also born in newcastle west born in maiden street and lived in boherbee     thank you for any help at all tony o'donoghue

  • A couple named Florence O'Donohue and Bridget Riordan married on 21-Jan-1908 In Newcastle West church in Newcastle parish. This is a few years before the date you gave.
    Florence lived in Rathina townland and was a labourer. Bridget, a servant, lived on Maiden St. Both were of full age.
    Address: Rathina Maiden Street
    Bridget’s father was John Riordan. Florence’s father Michael O'Donohue. Both fathers were laborers.
    Witnesses: John O'Shea, Ellie Hough.

  • If I understand the query, the Healys were cousins to Florence O'Donohue?

    Perhaps Florence's sister married a Healy?

  • william healy married an annie o shea on 7th jan 1908 in newcastle west       i am trying to get any information at all on

    annie o shea's parents       i know her father was called michael o'shea but nothing about his wife    any help would be greatly appreciated
