Hi, My paternal Great Great Grandfather was Hugh Carr born in County Mayo October 11, 1836. It is believed his father was Patrick. born 1810 in Carrowmore, County Mayo. He married Mary McDonough April 9, 1860. They immigrated to the United States in 1863 first landing in Wisconsin later moving to Iowa. Mary was born in County Mayo on January, 1840. We know nothing of her parents. I would greatly appreciate any information. I am happy to share what I have acquired as well. Thank you.

Hi, My McDonoughs were from Killedan, Mayo but your Mary, born 1860, falls between the two generations I know about in my family (Check out Nicholas and children, posted in Ithe XO Chronicles) Keep us in mind when you are researching extended family, though.
