I'm searching for Irish genealogical connections to Patrick Garland (b. circa 1825) (my great great grandfather).

Details are scant, however Patrick was transported to Tasmania (Van Diemen's Land) in March 1849. A summary of information I do have appears below:

Occupation at the time of his trial: mat maker

His mother's name was possibly Mary.

His siblings were possibly: Michael, Francis, Rose, Ann, Margaret and Bridget.

Many thanks

  • Dear Roger,

Parents James Gartland and Bridget Reilly.

    Siblings:

Mary baptised 1826, Matthew 1820, Bridget 1823, Ann 1826 and 6 more but no Michael, Francis, Rose or Margaret

    Kind Regards,

    Anne Marie
