Searching for Descendants of Michael Neery born Ross Common 1850... Parents John and Annie Neery.
He came to Australia on the ship" Sultana ", 1871, death notice 6-11-1924 in Mclean, New South Wales, Australia ..
Michael is my great great Grandfather... I was wondering if his family came here to Australia or on his own...
I believe he was a farmer in Ross Common however his employment here in Australia was as a bridge builder and Carpenter.

The surname in Ireland was usually Neary. I searched on Roots Ireland and did not find any Michael Neary (or variant) baptismal records in Co. Roscommon with parents John and Ann. Did his death record show his mother's maiden name? You posted in Athleague parish. Do you know that the Nearys were from that parish? The reason I ask is because baptismal records for that parish start in 1808 and are on Roots Ireland.
Do you know of any siblings?
