JillYes, I think it is. I had found this record before but what baffles my cousin and I is Barney's naturalization record in the United States indicates he was born in 1810. However, his age seems to vary a great deal from Census to Census. Thank you so much for your reply.

I may need to keep searching for an 1810 birth record. Any advice?

You can manually scan the Boyle register but there is a baptismal record gap between 1806-1811 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0548

I'm revisiting another U.S. record and I think he might have been born in 1799 so I will look through the Boyle baptismal record again.
