As you can see from the link below, Dysert is a Civil Parish in Co. Westmeath:

Records for the corresponding Roman Catholic Parish of Churchtown begin in 1836 for baptisms and 1825 for marriages. There are some places where you can search online for records of Mary Ann, however these websites do not have complete collections and many do not cover the period after 1900:

www.familysearch.org has a huge database of genealogical records including some church records for Ireland.

www.rootsireland.ie have a large collection of Irish Church records, however you have to pay to use this site.

http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/ have begun a project to upload Irish church records to their site free of charge. However, so far only Counties Dublin, Kerry, Carlow and parts of Cork have been covered.

Hello, A few years have passed since I first started on the trail of Mary Ann/Anne Byrne/s of Dysart, Westmeath, and despite much research have failed to find any more information about her. Names that appear in Mary Ann's Birthplace on her children's birth certificates and her death certificate are Balnagore (looks like), Dysart and Mullingar. We are coming to Ireland briefly in September, 2018 and wondered if there would be any records in the local area that may prove fruitful.  We also wanted to learn the general history of the area.
