My grandmother was Margaret Priest Beirne my grandfather was Thomas Beirne of Knockarush Estersnow area  would like to know about the Priest side anything esp the names of my great grands and my great great grands and if I have any cousins left in the area.  Colleen Lake Knight

    Did Margaret marry Thomas Beirne in 1916? I found the civil marriage index record below of that marriage. I also located what I believe is the 1901 and 1911 census records for the Priest family. in Knockroe townland. Maggie was there in 1901 but not in 1911. Since Mary Priest was widowed in 1901, I went back and foudn a possible 1878 civil marriage index record for a Daniel Priest and Mary was likely Mary Mulrenan (see second record below). I also located a death record for a Daniel Priest in 1899 (third record below). You can get copies of any of these records from the General Register Office for around 4 euros each.
