I am looking for the family of Owen Morris and Bridget Cunnallen.Owen was born in 1837 and his parents were Patrick Morris and Mary McGoff. I have no information about Bridget except she died in Ireland.

Owen and Bridget had a least five chilren. Three emigrated to the U.S.  They are Winifred (m. a Horan and  lived in N.J.), Bridget (m. a Brennan and lived in Boston, and Margaret (m John J. Naughton and lived in Boston.) Two who remained in Ireland were John Morris and Mary Morris who married a Brennan.

My brother and I are coming to Ireland in June and would welcome any suggestions as to finding birth, baptismal, marriage, cemetery records of any of the above. Owen and Bridget were our great-great grandparents.

    I looked at the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Co. Roscommon. I listed out all the Owen and Patrick Morris records and also looked for Cunnallen records. It looks like both the Morris and Connellan families lived in Derreen townland, Kilcorkey parish. Note the John Connellan record below and the Owen Morris record further below. For any Morris children born after 1863, you can search www.familysearch.org for birth index records. Below is contact info for the local church in Frenchpark. Let me know if you have any further questions.
