Searching for Frances Dufflay, Duffley, Diffley or Defley who was born c 1829 in Roscommon.  Her parents may have been James Duffley and Elizabeth Farrell.

I believe Frances left Roscommon 1852-53 for Canada, to marry Patrick Regan.  His family was from Mallow, Cork.  They married 1854, however no records have been found to help determine her family name/location connections.

In my research, I believe Frances was sent passage to come to Canada.  A neighbour of Patrick's is Michael McGuire, who was married to Onagh (Honora) Diffley who was from County Leitrim and married in 1845.  Over the years, Onagh was a sponsor/witness to several Regan children.   Could Onagh be an older sister, aunt or cousin?  Could this be the link of the Dufflay's & Regans?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The subscription site Roots Ireland has two baptismal records of interest. The RC parish is Strokestown (Lissonuffy is part of the parish). There was a Catherine Diffely baptized July 20 1842 with parents James Diffely mother Mary Farrell. Second record was for Patrick Deffily (as transcribed) father James Deffily mother Mary Farrell. This James Diffely and Mary Farrell were married in March 1840. Don't know if there were two James Diffely individuals in the parish. Maybe Elizabeth Farrell died young and James married Mary Farrell?

The Strokestown records start in October 1830 https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0552
