I am researching the McManamy family who emigrated to Quebec around 1835. Patrick m. Winifred Flynn and Daniel m. Ellen Hart. Info I have states Daniel was from Sligo. In the Griffith's valuation I found a Patrick McManamy and a Michael McManamy leasing land in Tawran. There is also a John McManamy in Stoneparks, Emlaghfad. I am presuming that my Daniel and Patrick were brothers, since their descendants were found attending each other's weddings in Sherbrooke, Quebec. In terms of naming patterns, perhaps their father was Daniel McManamy as well, as their sons were also Daniels! There is a WIlliam and a Charles McManamy in Quebec as well but I do not know if they are related.

I had a DNA match with someone from Tourlestrane, Sligo, but he had not found any McManamys in his tree.

Does anyone have any suggestions or connections?

I came across this record for Peter McManamy who is estimated to be born 1829 and coming from Tawran, Killaraght , Co.Sligo. He is a good match as a brother to your relatives
