My Cooke family lived mostly in Clooningan which is in Achonry, but the family originated in Kilmacteige/Tourlestraine and many are buried in the cemetary in Banada. Looking for Cooke family in this parrish as well.
Any Cooke family in this group? These would be descendants of John Cooke who farmed in Clooningan starting in 1799. There are numerous entries for this whole area in census and Griffiths online. Ring any bells?
