I'm looking to see if my great grandpa George keys born 1884 kildeer Death April 27 1920 London ontario was also part of this parish? His wife Sarah Rebecca hilda shoebottom born November 26, 1893 death oct 16,1927. Sarah is the daughter of James Isaac Shoebottom (1867-1948) and Eliza Agnes Millard (1864-1918). James Isaac was the son of Isaac Shoebottom (1834-1902) and Sarah Jane McGuffin (1839-1911). Isaac was the son of "Stoney" John Shoebottom (c1787-1867) and Rebecca Colbert (c1794-1868). Stoney John was the son of William Shoebottom (1756-1830) and Anne Lyons (c 1756-1836). A lot of that comes from the cemetery at Arva but I have found John Shoebottom on Stoneyacre Townland, Modreeny Parish, (North) Tipperary in the baptism transcription of son Thomas (C.) Shoebottom, 24 Jan 1830. Is there a way to find out what plot of land the shoebottoms owned before they sold it to move to canada in 1830? John and rebecca colbert would have sold the land

    The Tithe Applotments free on line at titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie have the Shoebottoms in Modreeny. Click on the name and you'll get the address.

    Colberts are there also.

    Stonyacre is near Cloughjordan village to the east of it if my sense of direction is correct, its in North Tipperary and really lovely countryside there

    This is Tithe Applotment Record in Stonyacre but the family also had lane in two areas nearby as well as you will see
