Hi Everyone,

I'll be in Mullingar April 3rd to 8th and will be trying to find my Martin Family farm in the townland of Ballindurrow, Multyfarnham.

In 1901 my great grandfather Edward Martin left it in his will to his eldist son James Martin - my grand uncle.

I also want to find living Martin relatives there!

  • The revaluation records, in the Valuation Office in Dublin, should show what plot number the Martin farm was. Then you can use that information to locate the property on the on-line Griffiths maps. The Valuation Office records are not on-line, and so you need to go there or get in touch with them. The Griffiths Maps are on-line:

  •  I am also looking for a Martin family from this Parish of Multyfarnham all i know is that my great grand father John Martin and his brother James Martin were charged with white boy offences at Balrath .James employer said they were to live in Lackan this was in March 1847 with others Francis Gilligan .James Mongan.Patrick Goggin and Thomas Goggin were sentenced to 7 years to Australia never to return to the UK. Any help tracing the other family members or any living relations or anything at all would be great . With Thanks David W Martin. Australia.
