Hi. I have an Ancestor whom, in the 1911 England Census, declared that she was born in "Ballinalsoe" and someone has added "town n/k". I suspect that Mary Carney was born there in 1859 or 1860 based on the age declared in the 1871 England Census, and following that up to her death. Her parents were Patrick Carney and Maria (Kelly). I thought I'd found a younder sister, Bridget Carney born about 1862 possibly in Fohenagh, nr Clonfert?
Anyway, I'd love to discover a link to Ballinasloe! My late grandma would be so proud of me! :)
