I am trying to clarify the family details of Pierce POWER. He was born about 1870

MARRIAGE: 14 February 1893 at the RC Parish Curch Stradbally, Kilmacthomas,Waterford TO Sarah Anne ANDERSON .  The marriage record says Pierce aged 21 a Farmer of Garranturton and that his Father was Patrick also a farmer . Sarah Anne was aged 19 a lady of Stradbally and her father was John ANDERSON and R.I.C.  Sergeant.

Witnesses: Thomas McArty and Mary A Coffey

DEATH of Pierce POWER: Pierce drowned 5 September 1895 at Ballyvooney Cove, Stradbally, Waterford. His boat overturned in rough seas durig a regatta.

I believe there was a very large funeral with hundreds of attendees and he was interred in Ballylaneen.

I would like to clarify who his parents were and also any reports of the Regatta incident and the following funeral and anything about where he is buried.

I have found very likely brth record :24 May 1879 , Pierce POWER born Garranturtan  (Civil Register: District of Bonmahon in the Union of Kilmachthomas, Waterford) . Parents are Patrick POWER (Garranturtan) Farmer and Mother Catherine POWER formerly SULLIVAN.

I believe they wre land owners but can't find much about them .

Hope someone can help

Erin
