Hello,

I am trying to find birth and marriage records for my wife's relatives who came from Loughglynn, Roscommon residing in Cloontowart: John Beckett born around 1842 and his wife Mary Ryan born around 1846. I think they may have been married around 1870. Have tried Findmypast.com and the Catholic registers at NLI, but I am running out of luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Like you, I could not find the marriage record. Is it possible they married in England? I did find that they had at least eight children. Below is a trancription of the baptismal record for their son John. In case you don't have the 1901and 1911 censuses they are below. Two of the children died young.

    I may be able to help you with the family history as I have researched this Beckett family for my sister-in-law who happens to be a Beckett descendent living in Co.   • Sorry - error in last post.  James Beckett (not John) was living in Chicago 1930 census.
