I am trying to pinpoint where in Galway the ancestors were from. 

Lawrence Tiernan b.~1794  married Mary Gaffney b. ~1796.

Children:

Female unknown

John b~1825-1830

Martin b~1825-1827

James b 12 Aug 1828

Catherine b 12 Aug 1832/1833

emigrated to America on ship Elizabeth Hamilton Apr 1849

Roman Catholic

Catherine's obituary says she was from Cfreegs, Galway

Martin's NY emigrant bank record says he was from Moate/Monte, County Galway.
