Searching for Thomas Martin, born Apr 1856 in Carrickmacross. He immigrated to the US, and owned a farm in Dawson, PA. He married Anne Theresa McGirke in 1876 in Northern Ireland.
His parents were thought to be Thomas Martin and Bridget Marin, both born in N. Ireland.
Her parents were John McGuirk b. Ireland and Anne Dulin b. France.

Not sure of the religion of your Martin family. The RC records for Mageraross parish do not start until 1858 on Roots Ireland. Roots does not have C of I records for that period.
I also looked for a marriage record on Roots for Thomas and Anne for 1874-1878 with no success.
The 1861 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Magheraross parish shows many Martins including five named Thomas.
