I know that my great great grandmother Rose was born in Co. Meath in about 1820, but I don't know where in Ireland her husband John Boyne (or perhaps Boyan) came from, or when they married. They had Patrick in about1844 and John in about 1850. Then the family left Ireland for Lancashire. They were in England in 1855, when a further child was born. John died in 1860. Rose died in 1901. Any clues to the marriage date or location would be very welcome.

Chris:
I looked through the indexes for Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie and the best I could find was an 1842 baptismal record for a Patrick Boyan born to John and Alice in Co. Meath. No records where the mother was Rose.
I was unable to locate a marriage for John and Rose.
The surname Boyan was more common then Boyne and was found mostly in Westmeath and Kildare. See http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/
