Hi Maureen

There are 4 birth/baptism records of Michael Leonard in Galway around 1904 but none in 1904.

However they are all from West Galway & Ballinasloe is in the East

I extended the search to 1904 + - 10 years and got some more which are from the East but none from Ballinasloe!

You might like to look at the Irish Censuses of 1901 & 1911 which are free on line

There are 375 Leonards in Galway in the 1901 including 6 from Ballinasloe but no Michael (not born yet?)

There are 4 Leonards in Ballinasloe in 1911 but no Michael Joseph!
