Hi
I am researching my Millers and Simpsons from Donegal Ireland.
Robert Miller born about 1800 Donegal married Mary Ann Simpson (born about 1794) in Donegal date unknown. (but guessing about 1820-1822)
Robert Millers job is listed as a Hammerman
They had 5 children that I know of
Margaret Miller born about 1822 Donegal (my line)
George Miller born about 1825 Donegal
Mary Miller born about 1829 Donegal
John Miller born about 1830 Donegal
Robert Miller born about 1832 Donegal.
They must have immigrated with all above childern to Scotland after 1832 and before 1841 as they show up in the 1841 Scotland Census.
I have them in the Scotland censuses from 1841 to 1871, but I am very interested in finding out more about their time in Donegal and why they immigrated and so on.
thanks Lesa

I checked Roots Ireland but did not find any baptismal records for the Miller children. Many of the RC and C of I parishes do not have records going back to the 1820s and 1830s in Co. Donegal.
I checked the Tithe listings for Co. Donegal and found two Robert Miller entries. Not sure if either is for your ancestor. One was in Fahan pper parish and the other was in Killymard parish. The one in Killymard had a much smaller land holding and would have been more likely to emigrate for a better opportunity.
