good day, my name is Patrick George Falkiner, my fathers line is as such

son of                             George E. Falkiner  nov 6, 1923 to oct 27, 1980

son of                            Thomas Falkiner  nov 7, 1874 to aug 22, 1970

son of                            James Kingsley Falkiner aug 29, 1838 to aug 7, 1916

son of                            Frederick Henry Falkiner  1799 to about 1869

Fred and James were both born in this parish while my grand father Thomas was the first Canadian in my line.

Family legend on this side of the pond as related by numerous family members has us training Falcons for the aristocracy round abouts the 1400's at Mount Falcon. My "tree" goes to a Michael in 1598, I can not authenticate this in any way.

Any information on this family or even communication with living relatives would be greatly appreciated

Pat

  • Dear Pat

Welcome to Ireland Reaching ut and apologies for the long delay in getting back to you.

Do you have any information already as to who married who in the above list of names?  I take it that you have already done a lot of research into the family to date.

In order to look for living connections, the latest available online record is the 1901/1911 Census. You could have a look at that with an eye to focusing on the parish:

The Landed Estates Database may also be of interest to you:
