I'm looking for information about my great grandmother Johanna Drohan who married my great grandfather John Power in approximately 1835 and possibly in Dungarvan or Stradbally, co Waterford.

    I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and located two possible records. See below. Neither shows Johanna. Possibly the Eleanor record is the one you are looking for? Did they have children in Ireland?

  • Hi Roger, Thank you for your reply. It does seem to be Johanna as it's on all the other records that I have found. Yes, they had at least 8 children, one also called Johanna. The children were all baptised either in Stradbally or Abbeyside.I know that Power is a common name in Waterford and in the particular area near Dungarvan.
