Trying to find my Irish ancestor, Thomas Bernard Weadick b. 23 Dec 1834, who made the journey to the United States to settle on the Indiana/Ohio border.  I'm looking to find records of birth and lineage.  Thank you!

  • Likely the surname was either Waddick or Waddock.

This site does not show any Weadick households in mid-19th century Ireland but a few Waddick and Waddock in Wexford

    http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/

The 1853 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Co. Wexford shows the Waddick and Waddock individuals who were leasing property at that time. No way to directly connect the 1834 Thomas to these individuals but it will give you an idea where they lived.  www.askaboutireland.ie for the Griffiths

  • Thomas Bernard Weadick was my great-grandfather.  He was born at Parknashogue (Pairc na Sióg: Fairyland) in Mary, Star of the Sea Parish.  --  J. Griffin Crump (jgcrump@cox.net).  I would like to hear from you.
