My great grandmother was Anna FITZHARRIS, born 28 May 1853 in New Ross, Wexford, IRE. She was the daughter of Martin FITZHARRIS (1819-1868) and Bridget FOLEY (1823-1863). Anna immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio, USA about 1855 and married a Peter GILDAY in Cleveland on 25 Sep 1871. She died 5 Apr 1923 in Cleveland. Both her parents died in Cleveland as well. She has two older brothers named James and Michael, born in Ireland, and two younger brothers, Edward and Martin, both born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
The senior Martin had brothers named James and Michael and their father was likely a James as well, who may have married an Ellen or Nellie. I have also seen several FITZHENRY listings in Cleveland records so that may have been another case use of the surname.
Anyone with FITZHARRIS connections to this parish, please contact me
