Trying so hard to find out more about my grandmother, who was born in Rathnew Co.Wicklow around 1874 maybe 1876, married my grandfather Patrick Kennedy and they lived on the Quays in Dublin. My grandmothers name was Mary Connor. Any feedback would be so appreciated.  Many thanks. Ann Beryl Croft nee Kennedy. Email anniekennedy@live.co.uk

If you get a copy of the civil marriage record, it will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where the bride and groom were living in 1899. A copy costs four euros. If you want to get a copy let me know and I can forward instructions.

Hello Roger, yes I would love a copy, if it helps, my grandfather Patrick Kennedy came from Marnellsmeadiws, Walkin Street Upper Kilkenny . He and my grandmother when married lived at 9 Rialto Cottages, Ushers Quay, Dublin, according to the 1911 Census, they had 4 children.

    Many Thanks.

    Ann

Go to this link  https://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx  print out the marriage form, fill it out to the best of your ability. Include the info from the index record: year and quarter of marriage, registration district and volume and page number. Make sure you only ask for a copy. You have to mail the request to Ireland. Address is provided when you print the form. You can ask the GRO to e-mail the copy back. I use a credit card number and have not had any issues.
