She was married to Thomas Stapleton. She immigrated through New York in 28 May 1864, leaving through Liverpool, England on the Davy Crockett with her son Patrick. She settled in Illinois. She died 2 July 1888. She was buried in the Oak Hill Cemeter in Taylorville, Illinois on 4 July 1888.
