Dympna was born about 1803 though we have found no birth or baptism record for her, despite her unusual name. She married Thomas Molloy in 1824 in Lurgan, Cavan and had nine children in 17 years. The first two were born on the townland of Drumheel, Lurgan, Cavan and the remainder were born at Kilnagun, Lurgan. We believe she died in 1870 in the Registration District of Bailieborough, Cavan, aged 67 though this is not proven. (Name was shown as Daphny Molloy).
