Elizabeth, known as Betty, was born Elizabeth Reynolds, daughter of John Reynolds, in 1811 in Lackamore townland, Mountmellick parish, Laois. She married Denis Bracken on 20 Jan 1834 in Mountmellick. Her husband died about 1865, and their children emigrated.
Elizabeth arrived in Melbourne on 03 Apr 1868 aboard the Vimiera; she died on 29 Sep 1871 in Burns Lane, West Melbourne, and was buried on 01 Oct 1871 in Melbourne General Cemetery.
