There are at least five Ellen duffys in the parish of kilmovee around that time, including my grandmother. Could you please give whatever other information you know about her so that I could maybe help you a little. For example, is she related too you? Where you came across her originally, her full dob or did, where she lived or was born, parents etc.

My grandmother's line comes from John Duffy 1801 and his wife Harriet
4 daughters Mary about 1833 Margaret about 1836 Catherine Hannah John n last born Patrick 1845/6 all born Aughamore/kilmovee are
They moved to kingston upon Hull Yorkshire around 1852 but could have left brothers sisters n parents behind. Infact Mary could have stayed and already been married and ellen/helen is a name carried thru my family. Thats why i asked about relatives n dates

My grandmother Ellen Duffy was born in Magheraboy in 1891 as I stated. Her parents were James Duffy and Mary (nee Higgins) Duffy. Older Brother John, older sister Mary and a younger sister Honoria. They lived in House 29 Magheraboy. My grandmother went by the name of Nellie, at least that’s what she was called by when she was in US. I will be visiting Ireland the end of March and have contacted the Kilmovee Heritage Centre in hopes of finding information also. Thank you
