My 2x great grandmother was Ellen Bennett. She was born in Ireland and according to the info she gave at the baptism of 4 of her children she was from County Clare. She was married in North Gwillimbury, York County, Ont. Canada in Jan 1851 so emmigrated some time before that. She was married to Henry Emes and they had 8 children. She died ( a widow) in 1903 in the same place she married. I have looked for obituaries and burial records of her, her husband and all the children to try and determine her birthplace without success. My goal is to try and find her birthplace so I can research that more.
