Ellen McCormick born 1842 in Galway Ireland, married Edward Fahey in Liverpool on the 13th of September,1864 shortly before travelling to London and boarding the Bombay to immigrate to New Zealand. They had four sons and one daughter between 1864 and 1882. She died on 16 July 1925 in Bombay, Auckland, at the age of 83, and was buried in Pukekohe, Auckland.
