Felix and Alice arrived in the colony of Australia with their children Charles aged 9 years, Margaret Letitia aged 4 years, and John Joseph 7 months.
A girl Mary born 1832c had died before they left ,as had a son John who was born in 1834. The small family arrived in the Colony on 14 March 1841, as Bounty Immigrants on the "James Mathison" which had sailed from Liverpool.
Felix was shown on the ship's records as a Farmer/labourer, RC, his mother Mary as a widow; Alice occupation was dressmaker.

Felix's mother Mary nee Tipping wasn't a widow at the time, as Felix came out to join his father John Darragh, who was sent out to Australia as a Irish Rebel Convict in 1813. Mary nee Tipping's parents were Henry & Ellen Tipping (Tippen) from Ballynamony, County Armagh.

Felix and Alice (Alley) M McGee were married 6th June 1830 at Shankill Catholic Church, Craigavon, County Down.

Felix and Alice had 11 children with the two dying in Ireland before they left. Charles b 1831, Margaret Letitia b 1835, John Joseph b September 1840, all born in Ireland.

Isabella Winifred b 1843, William Francis McGee b 1845, Martha Mary b 1848, Mary b 1850, Henry Charles b 1851, Maude Alice Mary b 1854 all born in Australia.

Felix died 12 January 1889 in Shamrock Vale, Candelo, New South Wales, Australia.

Alice died 12 October 1881 in Rocky Hall, Candelo, New South Wales, Australia.

Felix siblings were John b 1801 died 1804. William b 1803. Henry b circa 1804. Ruth b 1805. Isabelle b 1806.
