Hannah Agnew 1893

Back to List

Hannah Agnew was born 1893 in Ahoghill, Antrim.  Father was David Agnew, and mother Sarah Jane Scott.  Sarah unfortunately died four months after Hannah was born.  In 1901 census she was not living with her father and three male sublings (understandable because siblings were young).  We have found an Annie Agnew, a niece, living with Robert John Agnew and Bethia in Portglenone in 1901 census.  We know both David Agnew and Robert John Agnew both had a father named James.  We have found a James Agnew who died in 1866 of Ballybeg and think this is Hannah grandfather.  Desperately seeking information and have almost exhausted our resources.  Would love to hear from anyone who may help us make connections and put these importantant relatives into their correct families.

Hannah left Ireland in 1910 to emigrate to New Zealand.  She landed in Wellington and several years later married Thomas Stoneley.  He was a factory worker.  They were good parents and had seven children.  Arnold Stoneley is the baby of their family and I would love to connect up and link family members.  My Mother passed away in 1957 in Feilding, New Zealand.  She has been greatly missed and we would like to connect to the Irish relations.
