James is my 2nd great grandfather. His parents: William Eagan (born 1788 in Urlingford Parish, County Kilkenny). William married Mary Croak (no info). They had 3 sons all born Urlingford:

William, August 1814
Patrick, James & William all emigrated to the USA in the 1930's and settled in Poughkeepsie, New York. Their father, William joined them (apparently after his wife died as there's no mention of her in the US).
James married Catherine Shields, born 1822 Ireland. They had 8 children all born Poughkeepsie, NY. James worked as a stone mason.
