This image was captured in c.1910 when James was almost 3 years old. He was the eldest son of Dr. Michael A. O'Brien and his wife Eily. James had two siblings, a sister Joan Mary born in 1910 and a baby brother named Thomas, an infant at the time of the Census. The family lived at West Quay, Fermoy, Co. Cork. By 1911 James's parents had been married for 3 years.
The family lived in a 1st class house where they had 6 rooms and 5 front windows along with a coach-house and stable.

Hi James,
I have James O'Brien on my family tree. He was a Doctor and I have him marrying a Josephine Russell (born 1922 d 1978 in Dublin). I don't have a date
James had more siblings
Joan 1909 died in 1913
Thomas 1911
Mary Patricia (bron 1913) and married James Redmond Barry in 1936
Martha (1914) and married James Joseph Casley in 1943. they had two children Mary Veronica (1946) and Veronica (1948)
Michael Aloysuis 1916. He married and had a child Michael Coleman
William Coleman (born 1917 d 1918)
There may have been another sibling born after 1919 who married John Fitzgibbon (but I haven't confirmed this.)
