John Murphy was born about 1830. I believe him to be the John Murphy born 12 Dec 1830 in Buncare/Dooks, Caragh, baptized in Glenbeigh.
Father was Patrick (per marriage record) and mother most likely Ellen Joy.
Brother was Patrick Murphy - they lived next door to each other in Doolahig in both the 1901 and 1911 Census. Other siblings likely James, Margaret, Catheine, and Ellen.
He married Mary SWEENEY on February 26, 1865, in his hometown.
They had ten children in 25 years.
Three sons, James, Patrick, & Michael all died young - before 1900. One son, John was alive in 1911 sense, but I have not other detials after that.
Six daughters - Margaret (Maude), Ellen, Mary, Kate, Johanna, & Bridget all immegrated to the US - mostly in the Hartford, CT area
In 1880/81 John takes over the lease from his father Patrick
He died in 1917 in Kerry, Ireland, having lived a long life of 87 years.
