Migrated to /Born in Canada

Hello there from Edmonton, Canada!

My 2xgreat grandfather was Joseph Haire from Bryanlitter Townland, near Clontibret. He was born about 1835 to Thomas Haire and Margaret Kirker (or Kirkend, from Keady) and migrated to New York, circa 1860, where he worked in the Colgate Soap Factory for a period of time before migrating to Pilot Mound, Manitoba, Canada.  There, he met and married Martha Hume. They eventually moved to Edmonton Alberta. He lived to be 105, and was, at the time of his death in 1941, the oldest man in Canada.  He took his first plane ride at the age of 103!

Thomas and Margaret had other children in that region including James, Jane, Eliza and David, and there are MANY Haire descendants in Canada.

Place & Date of Baptism SOOOO, turns out that my 2xgreat grandfather, who publicly celebrated his age in the local media, might not have been QUITE as old as he indicated. I have located a series of birth, marriage and congregation records.
