My Grandmother, Margaret Farrell was born in Raheen, Clonroche in 1904 to Parents Laurence Farrell and Mary Kavanagh.  Laurence and Mary had 7 children: Johanna 1898, Kate 1900, Mary Ann 1901, Patrick 1903, Margaret 1904, Martin 1906, Laurence 1910.  Mary Ann, Margaret, Martin and Laurance all moved to the Harlesden/Willesden area of London.  I am not sure when they moved but they were in Raheen for the 1911 census and in London on the 1939 census.  In 1939 Margaret was living at 82 Manor Park Road, Willesden, London with her brother Martin and his wife Bridgit.  She was working as a Canteen assistant.

Margaret married Joseph Smith from Eccleshall Bierlow near Sheffield.  Joseph and his brother had walked from Sheffield to London to find a job.  They had two children, Glendalin and Roy and lived in Harlesden.

Margaret passed away in 1971 and was cremated.  Her ashes were taken back to Ireland and are buried in the grave with her parents and brother Patrick in Cloughbawn Churchyard.
