Margaret Thompson : Short Biography

Margaret Thompson was from Ballylumin Townland. Her father was William Thompson and she had two brothers who emigrated to Ontario, Canada. The brothers, William, a farmer, and Alexander, a carpenter settled in Wellington County.  Margaret married William Weir in 1840 in Ahoghill, 2nd Presbyterian church.  Margaret's son Hugh left his family to move to Canada about 1867. It's not known if Margaret Thompson and William Weir had other children who remained in Ireland.
