Migrated to/Born in New Zealand
Patrick Crewe, both abt 1806, enlisted in the British Arny 58th Foot at Birr in 1823.His home was listed as Louran, Tipperary. As "Louran/LORAN/Lowran" are not close to Birr for enlistment, it is highly likely this is "LORRHA" transcribed by an Englishman. He served until 1845, and was granted "defensible" immigration to NZ. His daughter Eliza married Patrick Griffin and their daughter Margaret was my grandmother.
Any info about potential families in N Tipperary would be appreciated.
