My great-grandparnts Patrick and C(K)atherine (nee C(K)avanugh) Degnan emigrated to the USA about 1892 and initially settled in Toledo, Ohio. My grandfather, James Aloysius was born and baptised there in December of 1892. By 1894 they were living in E. Newark, Hudson, NJ where his siblings were born. They became naturalized citizens in 1905. According to the 1910 1nd 1920 US Census, they were living in Hudson, NJ. Patrick was living in Belmar, NJ when he died. Both Patrick and Catherine are buried in Sea Girt, NJ
