Hello! I have Connaughton's from County Roscommon, Cloonfellive (Castlerea area). My GG Grandmother was Catherine/Bridget Connaughton. Her parents were Catherine Kennedy and Patrick Connaughton. Does any of this sound familiar to you?

Thomas Connaughton, my grandfather, parents were Bridget and Patrick Connaughton. The 1901 Census has him living with his father and mother and a brother Patrick. There is also a daughter but I can't make out the name. I also believe he had a sister Nora and a brother Martin who had already emigrated by 1901. Thomas was to emigrate not long after. I have a document that shows his birth and the district is listed as Casterlea. The handwriting is somewhat difficult to read but I believe that Cloonkehaun is on the birth registration document.

Hello... I am also descended from some Connaughtons living in that same area in Castlerea, Cloonfelliv and Taghnoose. I am descended from a Catherine Connaughton, who's parents were named Michael Connaughton and Anne Kelly. Please let me know if you think we can be of help to one another.
