William DRUMMEY (abt 1790- date of death not known) resided in Upper Bellmount townland near Crookstown, Moviddy Parish around 1820. He farmed with his wife, the former Mary CROWLEY. A Michael DRUMMEY is listed on the Tithe Applotments (1827) for Upper Bellmount, renting 108 acres. This might be the same person or a relative.

William and Mary had 4 children who survived to adulthood: Simon "Mike", John, William John and Hanorah. These 4 came to America about 1850, living first in New York state, and later in Ohio and Iowa. Two of the children married AHERNs from Ballincollig, and two married MAHONEYs, also of Balincollig, Cork.

A fifth chld, Nicholas, may or may not have lived to adulthood and remained in Ireland.

I would like to hear from anyone having information about this family. Thank you!
