According to descendants, Winifred Kenny was born in County Mayo, close to the East Galway town of Headford. Her first husand was surnamed Manion, and they had one surviving child, Bridget Manion Curran. She then married Daniel Lee of Headford, and had four children by him, two in Ireland and two in America. The family arrived in New York City in 1847. She died in Green Isle, Minnesota in 1898.
