Scoil Náisiúnta Rialto aka Rialto National School for Boys opened in 1921 to serve the growing population in the district of Rialto and Dolphin's Barn.

The building's early form and character remain largely intact to include the entrance signs "Infants" and "Boys" over the entrance doorways. One of its most famous past pupils was RTE broadcasting legend Gay Byrne (1934-2019) whose childhood home is situated directly across the road.

This building is in active use by the local community as a parish hall and community centre of social importance.
