My Grandfather, Charles J Mathews, attended St Vincent's CBS and orphanage in Dublin. His Father, James Mathews
died when he was an infant and I believe that he was considered an orphan even tho his Mother was very much alive.
James and several the children are buried in a single grave in St Bridget's section of Glasnevin cemetery.
I have documentation of his First Communion. My Aunt says that he also attended Belvedere College HS but I have no
documentation of that. The school does not respond to emails. It would be great if there were school lists somewhere that could be
accessed on line.
