Please direct me to documentation for this ancestor whom I understand was born in 1772 in Killanan in County Monoghan. He died in America, in Blair City, Pennsylvania in 1855; I do not know when he emigrated. Any assistance is appreciated.

There are very few church records back to the early 1770s in Co. Monaghan. Records for only three Church of Ireland parishes are available.
I assume your Alexander was Church of Ireland? The subscription site Roots Ireland has one lead. They have a November 7 1773 baptismal record for a Alexander Leech in the Clones Church of Ireland parish. Father was Alexander Leech mother Elizabeth Leech (likely her married name). They lived in Cumber.
